     I have a feeling she probably gets to that later. People like Louise Perry and her podcast guests talk about this a lot.
     
     There are plenty of men who earn enough to raise a family on one income, but they're mostly in engineering, finance and tech ... and people who go into those fields are also way more likely to marry other college education women who also desire a career path.
     
     People are attracted to others like them, and that often means similar education levels. Working class people haven't seen their incomes rise. So in the past, where a woman by chose to be a teacher or a part-time worker, after her kids are in school, just for some extra money, now they both have to have full time jobs to support a family.
     
     It's all pretty backwards right now, but the system has grown to support itself that way.
