     @ml probably sticks closer to your body for ergonomics. A photographer’s flappy vest will be very uncomfortable

     @skinnylatte @ml possibly take a running vest that you like to Narain's Outdoor Gear Sewing in Berkeley (there is probably a place nearer to you, but Narains is great) and explain what you need. They could probably make a custom camera pocket and add it to the vest.
