     @coolbean pro tip worm.pink xmpp has biboumi u can join irc servers on xmpp by adding #channel%irc.server.net@biboumi.worm.pink & it listens for all messages so u dont need a bouncer

     @coolbean we also have the ejabberd matrix gateway enabled you can dm matrix people it breaks sometimes but you can do it. ejabberd truly the software of all protocols

     @rat oooo interesting, i could try using that then so i dont even need a dedicated irc client (though i wont lie, hexchat has grown on me quite considerably, much less cluttered ui-wise. though maybe i could also just try a different xmpp client)
