   TIL the Hindus got pretty close to the age of the Earth with "kalpa". 4.32 billion years isn't that far off from 4.54 billion years. Give or take a couple hundred million years. 🤪

     @Conan_Kudo It there historical evidence that this was believed to be the age long before modern estimates were known? I ask because there are lots of Hindu supremacist myths that they invented modern things centuries ago, that are absolutely laughably false, and I'm curious if this is real or a variant of that.
