   Then Mika says that it's important to be civil. OK, Mom. We'll be nice to the bigot, fascist, sexual assaulter, thief, and liar and go kiss his ass at Mar a Lago like you.
   Then sure enough, she brings that up under the guise of civility.

     The morning show hosts doth protest too much, methinks. Joe & Mika know they are in deep shit with their audience and keep trying to dig themselves out: Well, Obama talked to him. Everybody else at the table tries to remind them Trump is not civil. Joe keeps interrupting.

     Hilarious that they keep arguing about civility and Joe is being profoundly uncivil, interrupting everyone who dares try to disagree with him. Joe's being angry, defensive, and rude to his own guests: uncivil.
     But perseveres.

     Underneath all this: "Civility" and indeed civilization and its institutions are under dire threat by Donald Trump and his fascism. Defending "civility" means defending it against him. Bending the knee to the fascist is itself an attack on "civility."

     Let me add that as I learned from a wise professor, "civility" is a word about power: who has the power to decide what is "civil" and disapprove of and disallow what they decree is not. Joe and Mika put themselves in the position of ruling what is "civil" and brook no dissent.
