     @kf01 @caekislove sure, but the problem is "oh man the king who our rules have selected to lead is actually currently 8 years old, or mentally retarded" - which certainly has happened.
     
     Maybe best solution is like having a system where a family is tried and gains the right to have a king selected from their branch, but they are not guaranteed his son is the next king.

     @sickburnbro @caekislove that was mitigated by Regents who were in the branch of the king. Plus there were many ways monarchy has chosen the next in line not just primogeniture.

     Ultimately monarchy has the exact same problems with succession as a Dictatorship/Fascist State would have, make sure the next in line doesnt go batshit during rule or is utter incompetent.
