Trudeau’s fall deepens the main trend among Western elites: the center cannot hold. Candidates of the ruling status quo are seeing plummeting approval ratings, a punishment for inflation, neoliberal economic policies, and endless war. So far, though, far-right parties have capitalized the most from the discontent and political disintegration.
