  Same here in NC. The last two cats I got from a shelter, but we met in a pet shop for the transfer.

  @badnetmask@hachyderm.io they actually banned pet stores from selling cats/dogs here, any animals in a pet store are actually from a shelter now, I think different shelters rotate animals for adoption in pet shops or something?
