     it's good to take anticolonial positions on modern issues. it is good to challenge heteronormativity and the nuclear family. diversity is worth actively promoting in public settings.

     writing this out feels silly, and that's the propaganda at work. The word "woke" has been used in a derogatory way so much that it feels counterproductive to apply it here. But these are not frivolous things and I think fighting for these values makes the world better. Do they form a complete and coherent philosophical position? There are compelling arguments to be made that championing diversity as an end in itself is not a winning strategy, but these are arguments to be made among people who accept the above positions as broadly true, to try and refine the underlying philosophy, and absolutely don't imply that we should be abandoning them.

     if you're not careful you will become bitter, petty, and individualistic. this is the road that we're being led down. We are told: "times are hard, too hard to care for each other. put yourself first". Be brave and stand for something! Be brave and stand with others!

     @Aleums what really bothers me is how it seems like more and more younger and younger kids are getting indoctrinated. it’s harrowing. I don’t know how to respond to it
