Trump has no plans to annex Canada. And the way the liberal media in US and Canada have bought this idea is ridiculous as it gives it validation.

What Trump is doing is called anchoring in business schools. That by setting an extreme expectation aka " the anchor" , he is controlling the conversation and will influence all subsequent negotiation moving forward. This way, everything is framed as more favorable compromise closer to what was originally said.

Its hard to stop giving the president a platform. The media has done it. Canadian politicians have done it.
