   Chinese Academy of Sciences aims to produce a RISC-V open-source CPU named XiangShan in 2025. The team wants to challenge the perception that open-source projects mean low performance and quality.

   XiangShan project is part of China's push to reduce reliance on foreign semiconductor technology that aims to develop high-performance open-source processors. XiangShan's goal is to become the "Linux of processors." 👏
