   The Meta developments make it even clearer why so many of us are wary of #bluesky, while welcoming the migration off X in principle.

   It's very much born from the same Silicon Valley soup as Facebook and Twitter, with some decentralization cosplay masking that they are absolutely in charge of who can speak and who can't.

   Early test cases include Jesse Singal (see https://glaad.org/gap/jesse-singal/ - still not banned on Bluesky), Vagina Museum (forced "adult content" labeling), and probably more.

     @eloquence Jesse Singal does really great journalism. GLAAD having some sort of naughty list for allegedly "anti-LGBTQ" journalists, and putting Singal on it, shows them to be unhinged zealots; thanks for pointing this out to me.
     
     I already had negative thoughts about GLAAD based on some questionable articles I remember finding on their website, but wasn't able to find them recently so I wasn't sure anymore. But this revelation about them having a naughty list of journalists, with Singal of all people on it, confirms my suspicion about what kind of organization they are. Namely, quasi-religious fake-liberal zealots masquerading as a gay rights organization.
     
     Reminds me of when the SPLC slurred Maajid Nawaz as an Islamophobe or something. He sued them for libel and won. I hope something similar happens between Singal and GLAAD, because this is really unhinged behavior of them.
