     @ekis Every time there’s a storm heading towards Florida I watch to see if it will hit Mar-a-Lago. They keep by-passing that area. Depending on your point of view, that’s proof there is no god or proof that - like in Buffy and Angel - someone made supernatural deals for “protection”.

     if you are not aware, when CA has fires like this; we use prison slave labor in incredibly dangerous places, with limited support

     when i was last here it was something like 3 dollars an hour, people who were hired to this position by the state started at more than 25; cant imagine this disparity got any better

     just from the way air resources are being deployed you can tell the biggest concern is the sunset fire, b/c the santa anas winds will likely blow the fire right into beverly hills if it does not get under control quickly
