Yeah it's perfect for a single user instance as that's what I use with the web interface and Tusky or Moshidon. Really lightweight too. #Snac

@justine@snac.smithies.me.uk @neil@mastodon.neilzone.co.uk @jonathanmatthews@fosstodon.org @stefano@bsd.cafe I've been using snac as my only fediverse presence since Jul 2023 and it's been great. I run it on an inexpensive VPS that I use for other purposes too, and it barely registers CPU load, network load, or IO. It's so simple I usually run it in tmux, and the update process is git pull, make and make install (plus snac upgrade before restarting). Once I got used to running it it's mostly been fire-and-forget: I don't have to think about it or monitor it much. I just backed up my data with tar, and the tarball weighs in at 80-ish Mbyte. If you're so inclined you can read or grep the JSON of posts on the command line since they're stored in text files. Overall I find it's a simple, hassle-free, yet featureful piece of software and a real joy to use.
