     In a way the remake was an impossible task. The original was weirdly spooky and spooky is really hard to effectively.

     I feel similarly about the remake of the day the earth stood still. It's actually as good as it could be, but it lacks the atmosphere of the original.

     It seems impossible to recapture those moments in time.
