     @IAMAL_PHARIUS Buddy does this and makes out really well. He did demo on a hibachi place and now has a hibachi kitchen island in his house, which is pretty neat.

     @IAMAL_PHARIUS Please note that Restaurants Canada is a lobby group that advocates for increased allotments of TFWs (Canada's version of H1B's). This is something they are pushing to advocate for lowering wages.

     @grey @IAMAL_PHARIUS I remember that story about the Canadian food coop that was offering free canadian land to someone who would come be a full time employee for a few years.
     
     The article got a lot of hype and was quickly followed by a wave of articles killing dreams with "btw, good luck immigrating without a significant verifiable trade skill, Canada is way more restrictive than the US about qualifications."
     
     Now I wonder if that land went to an Indian who faked his coding degree.
