@evan Here am I like "what on Earth is Kings Day?". Even Google is not definitive for my search. Simple search mentioned Netherlands April 27. Adding Canada drove that down enough to let me figure out that Epiphany (which I'm also largely ignorant of) might/is also known as Three Kings day?
I think I've avoided learning about all the "serious Christian" (eg Catholic, Anglican, or any of the Orthodox Christian churches, in my mind). Not that I've learned much about Protestant ones either.

We have been getting galette des rois since we moved to Quebec. Our local bakers do the "northern French style" with apple and almond. Very nice! It feels like a good way to wrap up the season.

@evan I love this tradition!
But it makes me smile, something like this would never take off in the US: imagine biting into a slice of dessert and accidentally swallowing a small hard decorative object (the fève). There would be scores of lawsuits against bakers 😆
