   @vkc You can even lend and borrow them with friends and family without authorising any devices or dealing with DRM. There are even whole buildings called libraries dedicated to doing this en masse for free. It’s like a socialist fever dream

     @sinbad @vkc Sounds nice, but there’s a catch right? Like are they difficult to install or use proprietary standards for charging or storage media?

     (Joking aside I’ve lived in my current city for 8 years, and never been to the local library. I really don’t have an excuse for that… hrm)
