I'm tempted to buy and review this at Forbes, just for shits and giggles. I mean, for $10 it's practically a win if it merely turns on, right? 🤣

😂🤣 How? How is it that cheap? Even if it's the WORST retro handheld clone ever produced, how does this make a profit? (Yoink)

@reb
Yea, I have an Anbernic too! The RG35XX Plus which I somehow bought for $47. I was stunned. It’s a great little handheld and consistently praised in retro gaming circles. -

@killyourfm fell off the back of a truck?
I have an Anbernic handheld that I'm pretty sure is available for $50 including shipping if you don't mind waiting for it on the slow boat from china. I got it for £60 and even that seems impossibly cheap for what it is.

@mschfr There's no rebate involved! I'm logged in, am an existing customer. These are under some section called "Dollar Express."

@killyourfm Those Rebates at Ali are mostly for new customers. They vanish if you're logging in with your account.

@mschfr This doesn't surprise me in the least! Btw, I have an Anbernic RG35XX Plus that I snagged for $45 and it's a FANTASTIC device, so I believe you.
This isn't about finding a fun device necessarily. It's more of an impulse buy to hopefully write some fun content :D

@killyourfm Oh, wow. But, if you think about it - those NES-on-a-Chips are sold in millions. Combine them with a crappy screen and a crappy case and it shouldn't be expensive to produce theses

@killyourfm BTW: In my experience those really crappy gadgets are not worth it. They are not good devices, have crappy screens, crappy controls and the games are not running great. Something like the R36S on the other hand is a shocking value for 30€
