rocc@misskey.bubbletea.dev's status on Saturday, 04-Jan-2025 09:55:30 JST Rocc @tk@bbs.kawa-kun.com eh .38spl is bare minimum I'll carry. If they sold a 637 in 9mm I would have bought that one.
Either way, they're both pistol cartridges and will only poke holes. Shot placement is far more important than the caliber of the hole.Doughnut Lollipop 【記録係】:blobfoxgooglymlem: likes this. -

rocc@misskey.bubbletea.dev's status on Saturday, 04-Jan-2025 10:35:53 JST Rocc @tk@bbs.kawa-kun.com yup. Ball is (almost) never what you want outside of target shooting.
You should shoot your carry ammo hollow points at the range too. The difference between target loads and self defense ammo is even more apparent with revolvers. Your fingers, wrists and wallet will definitely be able to tell the difference.
Plus with semi-autos, different bullet geometry just might not work well with your gun. Inducing failures to feed/cycle etc. It is suboptimal to find this out when you need it.Doughnut Lollipop 【記録係】:blobfoxgooglymlem: likes this. -
