      @coded_artist sdfs are kind of neat
      there was a paper using them to make a sculpting system by storing the distance field in octrees

      @coded_artist 'adaptive signed distance fields' its basically for storing a distance field as you modify them without having to generate it from primitives.

      it was necessary for sculpts because the sculpting is basically a repeated process of subtracting or adding spheres

      @icedquinn That's the plan.
      Might not get as far as an oct tree, as that's more for rendering using ray marching if I understood correctly, and not for mesh generation, could be wrong though, just dipped my toe into it.
