   So, true story: I finally watched Eternals, twice, and unlike the rest of movie-going humanity, I think it's amazing actually. I'm not sure it's my FAVORITE MCU movie, it might be, I need time to sit with it - but it's definitely in my top 3. Everything I liked about it is different or even the opposite of everything I hate about Marvel movies and for the first time watching one of these MCU digs I turned on the lights feeling the movie and I had some aspects of a shared morality.

     Really liked it, but I understand why MCU fans hated it; just think they're wrong, or rather we are not the target audience for the same movies. Much in the way I hated every Iron Man movie even though everyone around me loved them.

     @Vorsos yeah I was really surprised at how good it was; I also liked that the movie was internally consistent, so hints they dropped early paid off by the end. I'm surprised it was so unpopular, but maybe by that point anything the MCU did was going to be "wrong" in the eyes of audiences that were tired of the whole deal.

     @AnarchoNinaWrites Okay, you talked me into it. This ended up being a nice, competent self-contained story (with the minimum MCU references to satisfy pedants). Great acting, representation, and grounding in real history so we have relatable touch points.
