Many veterans in the UK leave the forces with PTSD and similar almost 'hidden' conditions, this is without taking into account physical injuries.
When people are in the army, they are looked after, they have to be fit for deployment to any theatre (including humanitarian) at short notice.
Once they leave things do seem to go wrong, certainly in the UK I do get the impression talking to people many are abandoned and there are a lot of homeless veterans on our streets.
During Trumps first term, he did seem to recognise this and said he would do more to look after them.
Given the cost of health care, and another report on here where a health insuraer decided to stop funding treatment because it was working, is it any wonder there are people out there, who are trained killers, with Mental health issues, going off the rails (not trying to justifiy what happened recently)
We NEED to do more to look after our armed forces personnel during and AFTER their service.
