   I've finally gotten around to trying to scan the barcodes on all of my books. I'm using Library Thing, even though it is trying really hard to be some kind of Clown-based gamified "goodreads" fucktangle when all I want is a local catalog....

     @scruss No, book club editions have no barcodes at all. The error message says "This is probably a mass market paperback, look for a different bar code". Here's an example, back and inside:

     @jwz are they book club editions? That might explain the non-standard barcodes.
