     @lain @sun Unfortunately, for US "normies", Facebook is almost a requirement. I've known people whose jobs communicated with them through Facebook.
     
     If you don't use Facebook, there will be some relatives whom you'll never hear from. When I was closing my FB account, I had to make sure I was prepared for the loss of contacts whom I wouldn't hear from again.
