@hipsterelectron @zwol @ireneista I don't consider myself at all libertarian and this is part of WHY I don't want licenses-as-private-law. Nearly all FOSS licenses already forbid "AI" shit by requiring accurate attribution. The way you advocate against bad practices is by shunning the people doing them and organizing to regulate them, not imposing private law that says "I get to decide what you can do because I'm a copyright holder on something you need".

You would need a functioning government to do that.
I've long considered the GPL to be makeshift law for a space ceded by traditional governments and volunteers to be make shift government infrastructure provision.
In the ideal, we'd have done all of this through a well functioning Democratic process; alas that is not the age we live in.
