That's a pretty dark thing to wake up to on New Year's Day. Nothing about this sounds good or normal, even for America.

tl;dr guy drives into a New Year's Eve revelers in an F-150 on Bourbon street, simultaneously firing into the crowd. After 3 blocks of that, gets out with an assault rifle and starts exchanging fire with the cops. He's dead, reporting is sketchy atm but they're already using the phrase "terrorist attack" and reporting s/t about a "black flag" on the vehicle. No clue how reliable that is, but it's ABC.
From what the NOLA locals are reporting, someone in an SUV or truck drove it into a crowd of people celebrating the New Year's in or near the French Quarter in prep for the Sugar Bowl/CFP game, then opened fire in a shootout with the cops. As it stands now; 10 fatalities and 35 wounded. Who knows what the motive was this time.
@AnarchoNinaWrites punisher flag more likely
Atm details released are just sketchy enough that ppl can run with whatever headcage they're already in, but just firm enough to be certain this is some kind of deliberate attack and far beyond your garden variety spree killer. Truck, guns, "terrorist attack," some shit about active bombs, and that stuff about the black flag.
When I say not normal, that's what I mean. Not just a mass shooting afaict
