People can talk about #H1B all they want, but I’m skeptical that anything will change.
No side has any incentive to change the dysfunctional system, the government doesn’t want more immigrants from India, tech loves their control over labor, and many desis who are naturalized are often opposed to any more immigrants.

The only people directly impacted have no say and cannot vote, and in turn are locked in a short-sighted cutthroat hustle culture.
