Yet another person saying they know enough about computing yet when I show them something extremely basic like lightbeam/ubo they're speechless.
The tech illiterate divide is quite bad.-

@hakui ja I understand your point. But I'm speaking about basic usage and not about a text editor that's almost an OS.
I'm saying that there's a minimum knowledge level people should have, just like driving a car.
And as it's implied, yes, I'm also taking into consideration that not everything is useful, should they know how to install their own distro ? only if they wish, otherwise hire someone.
Same applied to people with cars, they don't have to know how to change oil or filter, but they must know how to check their tires and oil level etc... (it is mandatory in france). -

@mangeurdenuage smartphones did this. for example it's really hard to go into a directory tree like view on android. these people can't grasp the simplest concepts anymore.
