Move Status:
In the new place, all my things inside, many still misplaced.
But my focus is on how I been unable to have a single night of solid natural sleep, due to artificial noises from neighbors waking me up. Dogs, leafblowers, car honks especially. Slamming doors and vibrating floors.
This move to a new home was mostly a big mistake. I knew there were risks of having worse, but I was not allowed a sample sleepover to test the sounds.
I took a leap of faith,
into worse conditions.

I couldn't sleep with things in or on my ears either! Not to mention, that's it's own safety hazard! I know I sure AF would want to be woken up if the smome detectors go off, or someone kicks in my door!

What is this piece of furniture? I have never heard of needing landlord approval for furniture, unless it's something that bolts to the walls.

I've never heard sensory issues described that way, and the light and sound over sensitive descriptions are quite accurate. I'll try to store that description mentally for future use.

@hellomiakoda Me and my verbal advocate spoke to one of the employees whose personal pet project is making safe acoustic spaces for autistic people. I recall he said he recently built a quiet zone for someone's autistic kid, and he and us felt like we could collab to make ourselves more connected to services to make these kinds of acoustic environments friendly-to-autistics more standard.

@hellomiakoda I've measured my bed (lazyboy) and calculated the empty space needed for movement as well. I come up with my need for a 4ft by 6ft horizontal internal space, with about 6ft height, a vertical space which I am willing to be minimized slightly shorter if needs be.
