   Subtoot, but not malicious:

   I mean it's a great quote but it's kinda undermined by the reality that Henry David Thoreau couldn't even starch his own shirts. I mean philosophically he's still a bad ass, but living deliberately is much easier when your family is stinking rich.

     @AnarchoNinaWrites Absolutely. And I am saying that as someone who really loves and adores reading "Walden". I just wish people would, in general, adopt more of a habit of taking things from literature and trying to implement them in their lives rather than starting cults around creators and texts.

     And funnily enough, the book about all this romanticized back to nature, living deliberately schtick ends with the protagonist moving back to society.

     Because in the end, we need people. All of us.
