   I am SO happy when I find just one other person who agrees with me that the skills of following long form narrative fiction (with all its causality and many layers of information) can be the skills of understanding software

     Code is story time with clues frozen in inaccessible “amber” (people’s situation, thinking and practices of an era gone by). The computer instructions are secondary side effects. 😉

     @grimalkina absolutely agree. Long form is long form, in natural language or something compilable. Also arguable that the significant literature of the latter half of C20 was written in COBOL and of C21 to date is in Python :-)
