   There’s a lot that 20 year old me had to think and say about this film and I don’t know if a 40 year old me watching it would have the same or different feelings (probably the latter).

     @aud Going off the book more than the movie, but Levin had many more interesting things to say about gender roles than about gender, and to the detriment of the timelessness of his work.

     #monsterdon is finally watching something I have seen and I don't know how to feel about this because boy oh boy is it a movie
     
     you're in for a... mmmmm. Admittedly I saw it like, 20 years ago! So it's been a minute. But I did find it mildly disturbing! But maybe I'm confusing when I felt disturbed with that time I watched Deliverance (a movie I wish I could scrub from my brain), which was around the same time.
     
     anyway, enjoy! Don't uh... well, you'll see.
