1. Extreme closeup of a green moss (possibly a joint-toothed moss) along with it's stalk-like reproductive organs. The moss leaves, called a gametophytes, are bushy with over-lapping leaves. Throughout the photo there are sporophytes, one in sharp focus near center top frame. In this species, the sporophytes consist of long stalks that curve at the top with a spore-containing capsule dangling down from each.
