   @caekislove @thendrix Would be interesting to see what happens to the CS market with no H1B competition, but I think it would still be rough for people trying to break in. LLMs are able to do a lot of the work that juniors used to do (generating crap code that the seniors can review and fix)

     they can't disobey or unionize without fear of deportation

     @dave @caekislove @thendrix and the problem with 30 and 40 year old in tech is they are well beyond putting up with burning up their youth on a pinky promises of raises that never come.
     
     they can still learn and do the work but they go home at night.
