     I’m especially proud of the fact that we have built a community around elementary OS that is extremely empowered, has autonomy, has documented processes, and can completely operate without needing my intervention along every stage while still having plenty of accountability in the form of things like code reviews and tests.

     All my thanks to everyone who works hard to make this operating system possible. I am so glad that it absolutely is not just me

     People continually say that there’s only one person working on elementary OS etc. my computer has been off for 14 days. Our community just pushed a new ISO to early access with fixes for big reported issues since 8.0 including a networking config issue due to a conflict with Ubuntu, flatpaks not opening in demo mode, and installer crashing with certain partition layouts. It’s maybe not obvious but these are issues that can be particularly hard to find the source of and address

     Merged the sponsor progress bar branch! It’s cute and animated 🎉 Merged a fix for icon clipping in the dock. Bugfix release soon for that. Also proposed a branch for the dock to respond to reduce transparency setting: https://github.com/elementary/dock/pull/333

     Released and built a bunch of stuff over the last couple days. Lots of translation updates, a few bug fixes, a couple new features. Plan to do a write up tomorrow and send my last update of the year to sponsors! Then I’m out. Starting medical leave and won’t be back until maybe late January? Depends on recovery! So things will be 100% volunteer community run for a bit. Be kind and give them your support 😊🩷

     Feeling very relieved to start a new cycle and get to work on things that catch my attention rather than things I must do to get a release out.

     Got a branch merged to withdraw stale notifications in Terminal: https://github.com/elementary/terminal/pull/813

     Added a new option for fullscreen hot corners: https://github.com/elementary/switchboard-plug-pantheon-shell/pull/428

     Started poking at Mail GTK4 porting again. Probably won’t accomplish a ton this week but it feels a lot more fun and relaxing ☺️
