I was going to ask that question as well, so I read the follow up. But still: if you like your compose, why not run it inside a VM?
@ironicbadger did I miss something, or are you running docker/fileshares/etc directly on the proxmox host?
My (very naïve) understanding is that you'd run proxmox when you're planning to use its virtualization capabilities, and "the proxmox way" would be to have a VM or LXC to handle the "home server-ing".
What advantages are you getting from using proxmox here, over a plain Debian or Ubuntu image?
