The inflation is no joke. The only reason we make more than our employees is because of write offs...If i had to pay employee taxes I would probably make less than I would as a skilled employee. We've only been in business taking it seriously for a year so hopefully that will change next year, but this year i didn't make much more than some of the higher paid employees.

Worked for years making only enough to pay rent and eat. Finally, those years, I started turning a profit. Then covid hit, and I had to lend in money due covid shutdown. Relative to what I was making covid cost me $80k a year and my Corp owes me about $50k currently. W-2 enployees have no idea. 😒

And they don't have to worry about compliance liability, including labor code violations. They're like spoiled children.

I'm going to be paying back debts caused by covid for probably another 2 years 🙄 I started my first business right when covid hit and I wish someone would have taught me about supply chain price fluctuations, payroll taxes and all that jazz...

Landlords get bent over and fucked in so many ways.
I owned a rental property for 2 years and tbh, after reading some of the new commercial lending laws, and seeing where states are going as far as tenant rights, idk if I will ever dabble in that space again. It's a lose, lose, lose, lose get sued situation for landlords.
