Remembering when I was a kid, every year on Christmas Eve Mom would read to me not 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, but the The Elves and the Shoemaker. It was a specific book. It felt kinda like a Little Golden Book, or at least it was the same size, but instead of having a wide spin it had a very narrow one. Being a kid though I don't remember anything else about it.
