   So why do we need Soundcloud defining what is trending within music? Would it not make more sense to just gather this data and build charts? It would help all the musicians on the platform

     But they have opaque control over the definition of "trending" and the music you get to listen to

     @ekis thank you for sharing and breaking down. I am using soundcloud right now as alternative to Google & co but I have a number of questions, too. Would you know additional options?
