In recent days, two excellent producers of electronic music have both decided to take down all their music from Spotify.
Om Unit and Andreas Tilliander (TM404, Mokira) point to Daniel Ek's investments in war technologies, as well as Spotify's algorithmic attempts to steer music listening towards cheap, meaningless muzak by "fake artists" (an elaborat plan which is described in a book released next month by journalist Liz Pelly).
