@gamingonlinux According to https://docs.joinmastodon.org/methods/statuses/#create and https://docs.joinmastodon.org/entities/Status/ the returned JSON from a create call contains the url of the new post.

I've had this problem before. It doesn't exist yet. On the page you have to initialize something maybe JavaScript after it's created and then you can send the url. At least that's my two cents there may be newer better ways to do it.In conversation permalink
