Okay so.
Field days red team:

Field days blue team:
- Bang Chan

- Lee Know

The solo song sticker colours all match the field day colours too, *except* Bang Chan's Railway is red instead of blue. It feels like maybe it's an exception because it's horny, and Bang Chan has a thing about red in that context.
The three OT8 songs are split. Walkin On Water is red. Bounce Back & U are both blue.
Bounce Back is mostly Han, so that makes sense that it's on the blue side.
I *think* U is mostly Bang Chan.
Walkin On Water seems like a fairly evenly balanced 3racha production.
The red & blue lore goes back to the Cle series at least (or possibly earlier??)

Seungmin has a "ticket to the new world" that they're looking at in the elevator
When the elevator burns, there are blue and red moons on either side of it

And just to fuck with my observations, some bits in #Levanter that don't fit as neatly into a #skzBlueTeam #skzRedTeam theory...
Hyunjin, I.N and Lee Know are walking down a road when Lee Know sees a bird flying overhead. He turns around and starts following it towards the elevator.
(This happens immediately after Bang Chan, Seungmin and Han are in the elevator looking at their ticket to the new world. So my theory is: the bird is a messenger from them to Lee Know, bringing him towards them.)
Presumably Hyunjin and I.N also turn around to follow Lee Know until they end up at the elevator together.
Then the bird flies off overhead while the red and blue moons appear on either side of the elevator.
I'd like to suggest it's significant that the blue moon is higher than the red moon at this point. Because the blue team already has 3 of its 4 members together, but the red team is much more separated and only appears alone or as duos.
The red team's light seems like it's only just starting to stabilise, with Felix alone holding his gyroscope with the small red light at the centre.

#skzBlueTeam is Bang Chan, his first kid Han, and Seungmin who's been 2IC from the start, even if never officially stated
The bond between those 3 is solid and secure in a way that the others might not have been at that time.
(I have a *lot* more ideas about that but they probably belong on @ChickenRPF ahaha yep)
Lee Know came in last to the team when they were all trainees, and also got eliminated in the survival show.
So he was separated from the other 3, and had to find them (or find his way back to them).
#skzRedTeam has Changbin at the core, and then the other 3 who were at risk during the survival show (Hyunjin, Felix & I.N).
They're all shown separated from each other in various ways. Felix with his back to Hyunjin, who's trying to get his attention. Changbin and I.N facing each other across the void in the tunnel with the crashed car. Felix standing behind I.N who's holding up his wrist. Changbin and Hyunjin mirroring each other's dance while being separated by a barrier. Felix on his own more than anyone else in the video.

Huh the Dominate tour solo sets have them grouped in the #skzBlueTeam and #skzRedTeam also, except for Bang Chan and Hyunjin swapping over.
Which makes sense considering that "Railway" is a red song. So he needed to swap into #skzRedTeam in this instance.
Hyunjin's song is probably the best fit with the songs from the other 3 blue team members.
I like the idea of them having their usual assignations but enjoying swinging as well.

@lookitmychicken 👀👀👀 oh, lore??? Are they bringing lore back in a big way instead of just teasing it like ATE did?? 👀👀👀
(Seriously tho they have such internal lore across *eras* that I'm So Curious about!! And they n e v e r talk about the red vs blue as an overarching theme, but it's there so consistently and has been for YEARS that it's a purposeful choice. <*paws at SKZ*> tell us the looooore.)

@inoru_no_hoshi I don't know yet where to find more #skzRedTeam & #skzBlueTeam lore. I just vaguely remembered that there were two moons in #Levanter vanter and it seems like a rich vein.
I don't know if it started in #Levanter or if there was more red & blue before & after
The first red & blue I noticed since Levanter was in that skz code field day episode a couple of months ago, which appears to have been dropping hints for #skzHOP.
I can't think of it as red *versus* blue btw. There's so much crossover. And they merge at the end into a single point of light anyway.
Hmm, crossover with #skzGiant too? Because at the end of the Giant MV, they merge all their energies and become one giant light-filled being.

Listening to "Railway" again and noticed the line "we're staring at the ticket that says one trip."
It made me think of the bit in #Levanter where #BangChan, #Seungmin and #Han are in the elevator, Seungmin is holding the ticket "to new world," and the other two are looking at it.
So I had to go back to "Levanter" MV to check it out again. It is a one-way ticket. (Okay not exactly the same as one-trip but close enough.)
Is the "Railway" bit intended to be a subtle call-back to the "Levanter" elevator scene?
Contrasting trudging up the stairs on his own, versus taking the elevator (even if it's a shitty and dangerous elevator) with other members of the skz blue team.
Chan does like to put subtle references and hints into his work, and doesn't like to explain them. I guess sometimes the references are deliberate?? And other times it's just coincidence.
