   @foolishowl At one point I was the opposite, waiting tcsh as my default shell but the default was always bash. I just throw in the towel and started to use bash.

     This brought to by my default shell, "/bin/csh", defined in LDAP.

     I feel like about 95% of IT operations is about figuring out who is authorized to change a setting.
