     @shannonpersists @dansup No way that happens. That's just not how things work. Either nothing at all happens, or the administration bullies TikTok's owners into selling off the US/intl version to some rw shithead buddies of theirs who turn it into 🎶-chan.

     @dansup needs an FAQ. Like do we keep our copyright etc? What specifically cant be uploaded? Time constraints? Is it open source, company owned,etc?

     @dansup I love that you’re building this!

     But the vertical video format is the smallest part of the TikTok platform.
     - How do you intend to handle moderation?
     - How will you handle discovery, since people will quickly runout of posts by those they follow? An algorithm that the user controls? A universal feed? Randomly selected videos?

     Not trying to troll; genuinely want this to succeed and these concerns come to mind.

     Signed up to loops and never got a confirmation mail after 20 hours.

     Tried to re-make the account. "There is already a user with that email"

     Tried to reset the password then. "There is no user with that email."

     I guess pixelfed is so broken in literally the first step that I no longer have the option to use it.

     So I don't think I will be recommending it to anyone hahaha

     I know some folks on here don’t want any kind of algorithm, but an optional one that’s transparent (or even user-editable someday) can be a welcome noise filter.
