   @infosecdj Any ROM can be dumped. Some are just more work than others, but everybody talks in the end.

   If I want your ROM, I'm going to get it (And if you know anything about what I do at work, you'll know this is not an exaggeration)

     REVERSE ENGINEERING
     We can do this the easy way, or the hard way.
     But your protocol is getting documented.

     hardly anything is a bigger red flag in security than "we make our code secure by restricting access to it." most of all, the startup code in ROM.
