   For years, I've always wanted a fax machine, but never had one. Never even had an opportunity to use one for work either. I finally bought myself a fax machine yesterday, brought it home & set it all up like an excited, giddy schoolboy. The problem is that I have nobody to fax.

     @fesshole In the early 1980s I worked at a company that used telex to communicate with head office overseas. Our boss made us all learn how to use it, bugger around with paper tapes, send messages and so forth. And then faxes came along and it became useless knowledge overnight.
