Of all the email clients I’ve used over the decades (and I’ve used almost all of them), the only one I actually like and keep coming back to is Apple Mail. There really is something to be said about simplicity.

I’ve got an iCloud premium account so I even use Apple to host my email at this point (it’s free). There were a few good free Gmail clients when I had it but I still always seemed to go back to Apple mail.

I've also been using Mimestream for mac which is fantastic but gmail only, which is a bit of a bummer.
I kinda agree that Apple's Mail app just gets the job done. My only complaint was that I wish it remembered your scrolling position so that you could pick up where you left off on newsletters.
