My impression of mixi2 is that they've done a lot of research on Misskey.
The elements that are considered to be advantageous to most people compared to Misskey are:
- App available (official only, no room for hesitation)
- Closed
- Simple and excellent UI
- Lightweight app
- Strict rules on prohibited activities aimed at the general public
- Managed by a long-established SNS company with strong capital and profitability

In addition to these, compared to other SNS,
- Managed by a domestic company and with domestic standards
- Emoji reactions are fun
- Emoteki are fun
- Fun community
- Timeline is chronological and not pushy
etc.
If the number of subscribers increases, it may become even more attractive.
Some people may think that the 149.3 character limit is strict, but I think it makes it more relaxed, like a chat.
I think it's a good choice to start by invitation and automatically follow, and to start the initial timeline with posts from the invitee.

The next step is an introduction to potential followers and communities that may be of interest. This is also simple and easy to understand.
It also seems unlikely that posts that focus on current events, gossip, or attract negative attention, that incite desire for success or exhibitionism, that exploit loneliness, or that arouse sexual desire or incite crime will be tolerated.
It would be great if this kind of atmosphere could be maintained forever.
