He is wearing a wide-brimmed hat, which shades his face from direct sunlight, and appears to be smiling at the camera. The setting seems rural or semi-rural; there are small plants growing directly into what looks like soil, suggesting he may be working on some sort of farmstead or garden plot. In the background, we can see a line of white-painted wooden structures that resemble fence posts with attached wires strung between them and possibly extending beyond our view. There's also an open field behind this row which could indicate agricultural activity in general. A backdrop to all these is a range of mountains providing depth to the image. Their snow-capped peaks suggest they might be part of a mountainous region or at least have altitude enough for their tops to retain snow, possibly indicating that it’s not summertime when most such regions would typically see less frost on top due to warmer temperatures.
